Release 0.7 is built around taxonomies and rebalancing — a major step that lets you define how your portfolio should be allocated and steer it back on track. Alongside it, investment plans keep your recurring deposits and investments recorded automatically, so your books stay current without manual entry.
What’s new
- Taxonomies & rebalancing — organize your holdings into custom categories (asset classes, regions, sectors, or your own scheme), set target allocations, and see exactly where you’ve drifted. Rebalancing turns that gap into a clear plan for what to buy or sell to get back to your targets.
- Investment plans — define your recurring deposits into an account or recurring investments into a specific instrument, and FolioCenter records them for you on schedule — so the transactions you make regularly don’t have to be entered by hand every time.
Why this matters
Long-term results come from a plan you actually stick to. Taxonomies let you describe your intended allocation in your own terms; rebalancing shows you, position by position, how to close the gap between where your portfolio is and where you want it to be. And with investment plans recording your regular contributions automatically, keeping your portfolio up to date — and balanced — stops being a chore you have to repeat by hand.
